• Identify and discuss one current nursing practice that you can find that is NOT based on current research evidence.

Based on current research, pain in the elderly is screened and assessed using different methods, especially for people with communication difficulties (using abbey pain scale, doloplus…)

NOT based on current service evident: using antipsychotic medications PRN (when necessary) to calm down an agitated patient – research show sudden death and other side effects but it’s easier just to give a pill
